Get~2~Goal
Design Walkthrough
I redesigned the UI and updated it for iOS 7. I designed a new onboarding experience, drawing inspiration from the first open-source ResearchKit apps Apple released. My design used vector icons wherever possible, and was made to take advantage of Auto Layout.
App Icon
Get~2~Goal's icon is inspired by a digital bathroom scale. The scale's blue highlight and LCD screen express a person raising their hands in joy, having achieved their goal.
Introduction
This is the start of the onboarding experience. Navy blue forms the basis of the app's color scheme, consistent with Geisinger branding.
My Progress
Users log their weight and can view each weight they've recorded.
Goals
Users can see their long-term goals and see how their progress compares. This data is viewable both numerically and as a graph.
Stories
Users considering bariatric surgery can read the personal stories of patients to better understand the impact it can have on their lives.
Tools
To visually aid understanding, probability of surviving surgery and diabetes remission are shown as a partially-shaded grid of human silhouette icons.
Settings
Expressive glyphs with large tap targets help users quickly pick the setting they wish to modify.
